High Barn is an outstanding stone barn conversion, incorporating beams from 18th century ships from Plymouth; the design is unusually spacious. There is a second stone barn across the garden with French doors, raised patio and table tennis. Situated in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Devon, it is just one mile from the spectacularly beautiful and unspoilt Erme estuary. Wonwell beach on the estuary offers vast expanses of sand and is perfect for swimming, paddling and fishing nets at low tide and windsurfing at high tide. Nearby are many more beaches and coves as well as fine cliff top walks along the National Trust Coastal Path.
Set in the quiet hamlet of Torr, next to a farm, it is a ten minute walk from the famous Dolphin Inn in Kingston, four miles from the small Georgian town of Modbury (wide range of local shops) and a ten minute drive from stunningly beautiful 18 hole golf at Thurlestone and Bigbury. There is sailing at Salcombe, Newton Ferrers and Dartmouth and walkers are just half an hour from Dartmoor National Park to the North.
