In years to come, Heron Cottage is going to be our retirement home but until then we will be delighted to share it with you.
The cottage itself is cosy and characterful, whilst the tidal estuary over which it looks is ever-changing but always stunning. This is what some of our guests have written:
"An idyllic spot and very comfortable."
"Quiet, cosy and lovely scenery."
"A relaxing holiday with a stunning back-drop. Just what we needed."
"Great location for exploring the area. Look forward to a return visit."
The Eden Project, Anthony House, Cothele and other National Trust properties are within easy reach, as are the open heaths of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Rame Head has spectacular coastal scenery and is adjacent to a six-mile sandy beach.
Plymouth, meanwhile, provides a thriving city just 4 miles away, with all you would expect in the way of shops, restaurants and entertainment, together with lashings of maritime history.
To see more photos of the area, go to Google Earth and search on the postcode PL12 4QT.
NOTE: The cottage is old and on a hillside so the paths and steps up to it are quite steep. If you have concerns about your mobility, please ask whether Heron Cottage would suit you.
Charles and Elizabeth.
