 This lovely little self catering cottage lies on the outskirts of the quiet, Loch Ness-side village of Foyers, famous for its spectacular waterfall known as The Falls of Foyers - one of the finest in Scotland.
The cottage has a romantic, intimate atmosphere and is ideally furnished and situated for a honeymoon or as a Highland hideaway for a holiday at Loch Ness. With beautiful scenery and a woodburning stove for cosy evenings, it is the perfect cottage for couples to have a quiet week away from it all. Your dog can come too! If you enjoy watching the Loch Ness marathon or taking part, the cottage is ideally placed with the runners going straight past the front garden.
Accommodation The lounge is very cosy, warm with lots of soft furnishings. To enhance the atmosphere there is a woodburning stove. Colour TV/video, a CD/cassette player and radio. The separate dining area, is spacious enough for two people and very relaxing, as are all the rooms in this cottage. A futon bed in this room can accommodate a third person if required. Provisions of china, glassware, cutlery and utensils is more than adequate. Bathroom with toilet, basin shower, and shaving point. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and is tastefully furnished and decorated to provide a warm relaxed atmosphere. Duvets, pillows and bed linen are included in the rental. Small well-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher. A tumble drier is also available. Outside - The back door opens onto a small neat garden of mostly lawn with garden furniture and barbecue, and is a real sun trap.

Location
Heather Cottage is 18 miles from Inverness, the capital city of the Highlands, and 14 miles from Fort Augustus. There are many varied local walks right on the doorstep - the gorge and Falls, river, hills, lochside, beautiful forest paths and the incredible Glenlia, which is like stepping into another world. With local wildlife, the RSPB reserve at Loch Ruthven and a Herb Nursery/coffee shop, the cottage is in a great location. You can watch boats negotiate the locks in the Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus and the beautiful west coast is less than 2 hours away by car.
