Lower Hearson is a working smallholding set in thirteen acres of gardens, field and woodland. Within the grounds we have an outdoor covered, heated swimming pool, a children's play area, sandpit, trampoline and a games room. Tucked away in the heart of the North Devon countryside in a secluded valley, it's perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Six beaches are all within an easy drive.
Barnstaple, with its shops, Pannier Market, Theatre, Cinema, restaurants and leisure activities is 15 minutes away.
Bideford, Hartland, Ilfracombe, Umberleigh, South Molton, Torrington and Appledore are within easy driving distance.
We are also close to Exmoor and the Tarka Trail.

Accommodation

Our five holiday cottages, which are Quality In Tourism 4 Star Rated, are surrounded by two acres of gardens making this a safe place for children.
All the cottages have wood burning stoves, except Fuschia.
They are all centrally heated.
Rose Barn (Sleeps 7) - photo shown below - has one double, one twin with en-suite and a family bedroom with three single beds. It has its own patio area.
Fuschia (Sleeps 6) has one double with en-suite and two twin bedrooms with its own courtyard garden opposite next to the farmhouse.
Orchard (Sleeps 4) has one double and one twin bedroom.
Primrose (Sleeps 4) has one double and one twin bedroom.
Roundhouse (Sleeps 2) has one double bedroom.

We keep a supply of high quality ready made meals which have been produced by an award winning local smallholding cooperative. All ingredients are locally sourced.

Well behaved dogs are also welcome. As this is a working smallholding with livestock dogs must be kept under control at all times.
