Situated in the lovely red sandstone village of Kirkoswald in the heart of the Eden Valley, this delightful semi-detached cottage has been renovated retaining all its charm and character into a warm, cosy cottage ideal for holidays throughout the year. Hazel Cottage keeps many of its original features alongside modern facilities offering a comfortable stay. It sleeps up to four people, children welcome, sorry no pets and no smoking. We have recently been awarded a Visit Britain four star rating.

Accommodation comprises:

A lounge with original exposed beams and tiled floor along with a wood burning stove, (an initial supply of logs is included), TV, video and radio/cd.
The fully equipped kitchen/diner includes a double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer dryer, along with all necessary crockery, cutlery and pots and pans.
Outside there is an enclosed area with seating at the front and back of the cottage.
Also on the ground floor is the first of two bathrooms containing a traditional roll top bath, toilet and basin.
On the first floor there is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both with original exposed wooden floors, and a further bathroom with shower over bath, basin and toilet.
All bedding, linen and towels provided and included in the rent.
Background heating is provided by night storage heaters. Electricity up to 200 units is included in the rent (Based on average weekly consumption). Any usage above this is subject to an additional charge.
A fire guard and high chair are supplied, there is a lockable shed for bike storage and off road parking for one car.

Hazel Cottage is open throughout the year and we welcome bookings for Christmas and New Year. Although it is in a quiet village location it is easily accessible from the M6 motorway, and an ideal base for touring the Lake District and other parts of Cumbria.

We are able to accept payment by debit and credit cards.
