Hafod Cae Maen is a luxurious Edwardian villa, offering breathtaking views over the Dwyryd Estuary to the mountains beyond. Situated high above the famous Portmeirion village on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, the villa has been lovingly restored and offers a truly relaxing holiday for those who wish to leave the car untouched, stroll through sub-tropical woodlands and picnic on a deserted beach, or curl up with a book beside the library fire. Hafod Cae Maen is the perfect retreat for those who crave privacy and for children who seek fun and adventure!

Hafod Cae Maen is made up of:

Downstairs cloakroom and drying room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The drawing room has satellite TV, DVD, stereo, toys, games and a wood-burning stove.
On the same floor is the library containing wood panelling designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. It features an open log fire, cosy chairs in which to sit and read, piano and a study with Internet access.
The kitchen/dining room offers a fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher and microwave as well as a dining area with wood-burning stove and double-doors opening onto the garden.
There is also a snug with a small TV, ideal for preparing the menu or keeping an eye on the children whilst cooking or eating.
The first floor features two king-size bedrooms with "Vi-Spring beds", two twin bedrooms (convertible to superking), plus two family bathrooms.
Most of the bedrooms feature original fireplaces and windows.
The master bedroom houses a four-poster bed and a balcony, perfect for watching the sunset over Portmeirion whilst sipping a glass of Champagne.

Gardens:

Hafod Cae Maen is set in two acres with formal gardens, and can only be reached by a private road. The gardens look down over the forested edge of the Dwyryd Estuary and beyond to the remote Rhiniog mountains.
The house is not overlooked and the owners live off-site making this a truly relaxing holiday for those wanting complete privacy.
The south-facing garden features a large table and outside parasol, perfect for Al Fresco dining.
