Visitors Book

FEBRUARY 2013
It's like coming home. We came for two weeks for my birthday, we have had a wonderful time and the weather has been great. Walk to Coire Loch from the house, Plodda Falls x 2, forgot my camera the first time, around Glen Affric. Car trip to Ullapool and Cromarty and train trip from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. Thankyou Jenny and Paul for everything. See you again August when we come back with Victoria and James. Thankyou for the cakes they were lovely.
JANUARY 2013
Our 4th stay, sadly without our old Golden, Dudley, this time, Molly the new one enjoyed it though. Recommend Loch Ness Inn at Drumnadrochit. Usual walks locally, over to the Cairngorms and a mad day to John O Groats, along the top and down through the middle. Saw lots of deer, fed loads of birds. Plodda Falls Lodge looks good, maybe next time?
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR 2012
A fantastic two weeks. A special Christmas and New Years holiday. It's always like coming home, we had a wonderful relaxing Christmas - just what we needed. Tomich is just a perfect place and Jenny's cottage makes it ever more so.
Plodda Lodge will be just as wonderful, so everyone can look forward to holidays there as well: Thank you Jenny for making our holidays so great - only 8 weeks to go until we're back!
NOVEMBER 2012
This is our first time here and we have had a wonderful time. We have enjoyed our walks, especialy over at Glen Affric. There was a lot of snow on top of the mountains. We saw three stags and got some great pictures of them. Thank you Jenny for a wonderful stay and the cake was wonderful.
OCTOBER 2012
Enjoyed being in this cosy house once again. All the glens were ablaze with red and gold with the bracken like brown silk. As well as walking, we visited Tain this year, an interesting town of ancient buildings and relics. The little museum houses an eye wateringly beautiful collection of old (Tain) silver, mostly spoons and other domestic items but truly lovely in gleaming satiny silver. Pictish stones are interesting, the old church and graveyards are delightful with the added bonus of the 'Bishops Walk'..............
SEPTEMBER 2012
Very hard to follow on from Barbara's sincere comments above but I will try. Last year was our 1st stay here - although we've been to this area 7 or 8 times over the years. Staying at Guisachan Lodge is pure pleasure!! The area is beautiful abut the combination makes it a totally relaxing, brilliant holiday. The thoughtfullness from Jenny and Paul is absolutely amazing. To us, they give back so much with their kindness. Our time together has been so special and are looking forward to coming back again next year. Thank you Jenny & Paul for everything and making our holiday so enjoyable.
AUGUST 2012
This is our 7th year in Tomich and our 1st visit to Guisachan Lodge. This has been a home from home with all little extra's we did not expect. Every year we love the serenity, peace and quiet and lovely walks and being at the Lodge was an added bonus. See you next year. Thank you very much.
JULY 2012
Another fabulous stay - shame it was just the one week! It has been so relaxing, home from home. We have made the most of our stay despite the weather - some great trips out with some equally good photos as a reminder.
The house is as we remember it, however can't believe how georgous the garden is. Finn and Howie (the dogs) have loved it here also, sad to be going home.
We hope to be back a lot sooner this time and maybe two weeks next time!
Thanks so much for our relaxing stay Jenny
JUNE 2012
There are just insufficient adjectives to describe this wonderful place. Jenny, you have thought of everything and added lots of 'special' touches - thank you. Bought our friends who had never visited Scotland before and did lots of travelling with them - another benefit of this wonderful location, easy to get to most places - did Glenelg and Skye and a long day out to Ullapool and Durness....
MAY 2012
This is our 6th stay at Guisachan Lodge and we have had a wonderful holiday. The weather has been superb which was unexpected and I came up with lots of warm clothes! We have had some lovely forest walks and also spent lots of time just sitting in the garden watching the swallows repairing last years nests. Thank you Jenny for the delicious cakes which I look forward to. We have had the best time and will need to be surgically removed on Saturday! Already booked for next year and 2014 and can't wait.

February 2012
The week has just flown by, another lovely week at Jenny and Paul's cottage. Weather has been so good to us. Thank you Jenny for a wonderful week, we spend the evenings planning our dream home! Saw a red squirrel on Friday. Brodie, Hamish and Isla always feel at home here - well they are 'Goldies' after all. Can't wait to get back in June/July.
January 2012
Had a super week, really flew past. Thank you so much for all the little touches. The house and area are outstanding. We will be back again. Thanks for sending the snow!!
Christmas and New Year
We have had the most perfect two week Christmas ever. Loads of real quality family time in front of the fire in a wonderful cosy house. Every day the scenery has astonished us. Everyone we have met has been friendly and helpful no matter where we have been. We love the mountains, the lochs, the sunsets, the walking, trees, falls, sky, pubs, food, atmosphere, people, hospitality, whiskey (of course!) and pretty much everything else we have experienced. The dogs have had a most wonderful time running around the garden and playing which was a joy for us to see. All in all, a wonderful experience. Thanks to Jenny for the cake, choccies and Christmas decorations. With every best wish.
November 2011
Another superb week this time showing Jamie and Sam just what it is we love about Tomich and introduce them to this very special place. Jenny and Paul, thank you for everything, we've has another great holiday and cannot wait for February 2012. Lovely weather and can't believe its November! Perfect!!
October 2011
Second visit to this lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Last time we realised that one week was not long enough. Now we're leaving it doesn't feel like two weeks have been enough! Already booked for 2012 and 2013!! Thanks Jenny and Paul for all your help with getting our car sorted out - and taking in our washing when it started raining! All three of us have had a wonderful time and we're already counting down the weeks to the next one!
September 2011
Back again and yet again the most wonderful relaxing week!!! Loads more exploring on the old Tweedmouth Estate trying to find those little Victorian nuggets of history! THANK YOU Jenny for my lovely birthday cake and card - really made my 39th birthday (but 1st Scottish birthday) really special (and my directions for my birthday walk up to Bienn Mhor - stunning view with snow on hilltops!) We will be back!!!!!
August 2011
Amazing place - tranquil and blissful. We will need to come back and explore further. Thanks for the stay - very welcoming
July 2011
This has been our second stay at Guisachan and the second time we have been struck by the spell that being here puts us under. The weather has been very, very lovely to us this week and we have enjoyed time in the beautiful garden as well as bathing ourselves in the silence of the hills and glens. We have seen buzzards, a barn owl and three stags somongst other things and these are the type of gifts that you receive from the glen, should you treat it with the respect that it so deserves!! Thank you Jenny and Paul once again for sharing Guisachan with us. So we will see you both again
June 2011
Another relaxing holiday. This is our 5th visit to Guisachan Lodge and 18 years coming to Tomich. I have just been reading all my previous comments and can't better them. This year we have stayed around the house and garden and just enjoyed the peace of it all. Thank you Jenny for the superb cakes which were much enjoyed. Looking forward to our next visit.
May 2011
A week of perfect weather spent in this gem of Scotland. We have really enjoyed our stay, lovely walks on the doorstep for us and the dogs. Tomich especially is a sort of time capsule unspoilt by the modern world. The lambs playing the the field, seen from the kitchen window, were a pleaseure to watch, they have a much better life than where we come from. Thank you Jenny for the delicious rhubarb cake and advice on walks etc, and letting us enjoy such a lovely property and garden.
April 2011
Fabulous holiday with incredible weather. We have had a fantastic time thanks to Jenny and all her hard work. Thankyou! See you in September! Birds: crossbill, blue tit in box, yellow hammer ground feeding, first cuckoo, house martins and swallows. p.s. for posh-nosh recommend Court House Hotel in Contin, Stuart and Susannah are fantastic hosts. Beautiful hotel and gardens.
February 2011
Another great week - just gets better, can't wait until June. Lots of snowy scenes and lovely walks. The cottage is just the best. Thank you again Jenny. Won't seem too long until we're "home" again
January 2011
What a wonderful house and wonderful location. Beautiful walks every day. Cooking, reading. Great food and good wine. The snow was lovely. A perfect break! Kaiser (our dobermann) and Greta (GSP) absolutely loved the space and surroundings. It was so well set up for them with the enclosed garden and wonderful fireplace.
