This detached stone-built cottage sits on a sandstone ridge in north Northumberland, giving it outstanding views of the Cheviots and surrounding hills.

Groom's Cottage is 1/2 mile from the charming village of Chatton which nestles around the River Till. It has a church, post office, shop and pub - The Percy Arms which has a friendly atmosphere and serves good food.
Alnwick, historic county town of Northumberland and home to the famous Alnwick Gardens is 20 mins away.
The unique Chillingham Wild Cattle roam the hills visible from the cottage and the castle is a brisk walk away. Many more castles are within easy reach, and the Scottish Borders are just 12 miles away.
Our Heritage coastline boasts vast empty beaches, castles and amazing bird watching opportunities all within 8 miles.
The Northumberland National Park, just 5 miles away provides vast areas of walking and cycling in the heather clad Cheviot Hills. The area also provides opportunities for fishing cycling and climbing.
Golf courses abound, some set in the dunes some in the hills.
