Located in the heart of the Conservation Village, "Greystones" 161 Findhorn is an Architect's family home with stunning views out over Findhorn Bay. With its own private courtyard and self-contained garden, this beautifully restored, 1820's merchants house is only a stones throw from either the Beach or the Bay.

Greystones is a spacious, light and airy house. With wood flooring and beautifully crafted features and finishes throughout that show a care and attention to detail that the Owners have enjoyed creating.
  • The Ground Floor comprises a warm family Kitchen with Aga, belfast sinks and dishwasher; centrally located Dining for 6-8 persons and Lounge with wood burning stove and double doors to courtyard, TV, DVD etc.
  • Entrance to "Greystones" is from a spacious Vestibule, opening-out through the Sun Room into a beautiful south-facing Courtyard. Adjacent is a downstairs WC and Shower Room along with a Utility space equipped for your convenience with a Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer.
  • The First Floor has a large Master Bedroom with en-suite shower room, a Family Bathroom and Twin Room. A spiral stair leads up to the Second Floor Attic with box bed and single bed arrangement overlooking the Bay.
  • "Greystones" has its own private garden that is fenced and gated to contain both dogs and small children.

Location

  • 20 meters from the house down a grassy lane is the Findhorn Bay (nature reserve) and a further gentle stroll leads down towards the harbour piers and on towards the marina. An easy walk in the opposite direction (less than 5 minutes) leads to the Sand Dunes and on to the main Beach. From there 8 miles of golden sand.
  • The picturesque Findhorn Village is a vibrant community with something for everyone. Based around the estuary there is a wealth of water sports from the doorstep including sailing, canoeing and wind surfing.
  • A short walk further along the Bayside the Nature Reserve is home to birds and bird-watchers alike. Warm summer evenings bring visiting Ospreys for the fishing and the Sandbar at the Point gives regular sightings of the resident Seals.
  • Findhorn has a well stocked Village Shop and Post Office, Organic Bakery and Bakehouse Café serving excellent evening meals at weekends. The Kimberly Inn and the Crown and Anchor pubs both provide quality pub-grub with outside sitting areas with sea views. The internationally renown Findhorn Foundation is less than one mile walk and is home to many Events along with the Blue Angel Café, Phoenix Delicatessen and The Universal Hall arts venue.
