 The Granary is in Monkswood, about two miles outside the pretty Welsh border town of Usk. It is built on the site of the old parish pound, bounded on the one side by the churchyard and on the other by the drive that separates it from our house. It is a spacious flat, with: a well equipped kitchen / dining-room; a large sitting room; one double bedroom; shower room. Gas central heating has just been installed throughout. Guests are welcome to share our large (half acre) garden, to barbecue, play or just simply relax. There is masses to see and do nearby: - Walking or pony treking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons;
- Fishing in the River Usk or Llandegfedd Resevoir;
- Shopping, concerts and international sport in Cardiff - only 40 minutes away;
- Golf - there are several courses within five miles, and the home of the 2012 Ryder Cup - Celtic Manor - is only 10 miles away;
- Visiting local market towns- Usk, Abergavenny, Monmouth.
- Castles, abbeys and museums too numerous to list.
