Standing attractively beside the River Gowan on the edge of the small but thriving village of Staveley, Gowan is a wonderfully peaceful retreat for anyone who loves the Lake District and is a superb base from which to explore the Lakes, Howgill Fells and Yorkshire Dales. Staveley lies at the gateway to the beautiful Kentmere valley and is served by a number of small shops. It is also home to the famous Wilf's Cafe. The market town of Kendal is only 10 minutes drive away.

• Gowan is fully centrally heated and double glazed and offers all the amenities one would expect; including television/DVD player, fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, automatic washing machine and dishwasher.
• The sunny, spacious lounge/dining room runs the full length of the house and has views of the surrounding hills.
• French windows open out onto the south-facing, riverside patio and a picnic table and chairs are provided.
• In addition, there is a small enclosed rear garden.
• The house has a car parking space and there is secure storage for bicycles.
• There are two double bedrooms and a single.
• Duvets and pillows are provided but guests must provide their own duvet covers, undersheets, pillow cases and towels.
• The bathroom has both a bath and a shower.
