Glenkindie village is situated in the scenic Strathdon area in the Highlands of the North-East of Scotland, approximately 40 miles west of Aberdeen, and on the border of the Cairngorm National Park.
5 Glenkindie Steadings is an end-terraced dwelling house with views over the Coreen Hills. It is well located for many outdoor activities. The steading has been recently converted to provide accommodation of a very high standard which has been tastefully furnished and fully equipped for self-catering.
Accommodation: 2 bedrooms- 1 twin, and 1 double. Use of foldaway bed. Family bathroom with shower. Modern and well equipped kitchen combined with ample dining area. Large living room with multi-fuel stove and feature patio doors. Electricity, heating, bed linen, and towels included in the price. Glenkindie is a very small rural village, but is well served by a petrol station which incorporates a convenience store and Post Office. In addition the local hotel is close by, and serves good pub grub, and also has a restaurant. The nearest town is Alford which is approx 12 miles east.
Local attractions include: Lecht Ski Centre (20 mins by car), Cairngorm National Park, Scotland's Castle and Whisky Trails, Stone Circle Trail (a Standing Stone is situated virtually a stone's throw away!), and Royal Deeside (approx 25 miles).
Activities in the area include: hill-walking, Mountaineering/climbing, fishing, golf, ski-ing (wet and dry), Lonach highland games, and many historical points of interest.
