is a delightful cosy retreat - a detached cottage set in the grounds of Glen Elm farm, which nestles on the edge of Gooseham, close to spectacular award winning north Cornish coastline. Gooseham is in the hamlet of Morwenstow, a small village just inside Cornwall, once the base for wreckers who lured ships onto the rocks. The churchyard has ships figurehead and the vicar was once R.S. Hawker 1803 - 1875, a poet who invented Harvest Festival.

The owners live in the adjacent farmhouse and although it is no longer a working farm the neighbouring farmer does keep some sheep grazing in one of the fields part of the six and half acres of unspoilt views and gardens.

The nearest friendly village shop and post office is only a mile away in the next hamlet called Shop! We are 10 miles north of Bude, 20 miles south from Bideford and 6 miles from Kilkhampton and also only a drive away from some great national trust beaches. Our aim is for you to relax in a fabulous equipped cottage and if you don't want to drive you can relax around the 40ft heated outdoor pool and chill at night in front of the crackling wood burning stove.

• Linen and Bath towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
• Well stocked kitchen with all the essential non-perishable food items.
• Cleaning items - simply replace if something runs out!

Outside:  

• Private enclosed pretty garden and patio area with attractive views.
• Use of 40 foot Heated outdoor Swimming pool (closed in October, and shared with owners) set in landscape suntrap corner of the garden with changing rooms. Plenty of space to sunbathe and keep an eye on the kids.
• Riding stables in same village.
• Trampoline and Swings.
