The Gatehouse is a single-storey, recently converted barn, designed for comfort and convenience. Its location provides space and seclusion, whilst being a ten minute walk down the hill to Charmouth. A footpath passes through the site opening up the prospect of numerous country walks. Even without leaving the Gatehouse, gorgeous views of the West Dorset countryside or a glimpse of the World Heritage Coast can be enjoyed. - Access is via an all-weather farm track.
 - Off-road parking for three cars.
- Charmouth has a post office, paper shop, butcher, fish and chip bar, cafes, grocery stores and pubs.
- From the village shops, a level walk takes you to the sand and pebble beach with cafe, fossil shop, and the Heritage Centre, where the geology of this famous Jurassic coast is explained.
- Highly recommended for walkers - a footpath follows the farm track past the property.
- Close to partially derelict farm buildings - charming to see, but off-limits - NOT safe for children.
- The owner manages some of the surrounding land with an emphasis on wildlife habitat restoration. In the autumn and winter this features hedge-laying and coppicing. In the summer it's woodland maintenance and charcoal-making.
