The Coach House, Kilmun, by Dunoon
Excellent base for a family or individual holiday in this unspoilt area. This is a wonderful centre for those enjoying rural areas: the forest walks are numerous and a dogs' paradise. Benmore Gardens are a joy to walk round any time of the year.
THE COACH HOUSE (photo above) STB 3 Stars. Magnificent views from all public rooms and bedrooms. Two lounges, one upstairs, gives families space on their own. Downstairs, the double bedroom has French Doors to a secluded garden. Cloakroom with shower. Upstairs bathroom. Garden. Location
Two golf courses, fishing, riding and boating are all available nearby. Bar meals and snacks within easy walking distance.
 Glencairn and Fern Cottage, Ardentinny, by Dunoon
ARDENTINNY is more rural than Kilmun, with real charm and lovely walks both in the forest and by the shore. The two cottages have wonderful views from all the windows overlooking Loch Long. There is a hotel within walking distance and a sandy beach across the bay.
GLENCAIRN (photo right) STB 3 Stars. This used to be the old school. It has a lovely double bedroom upstairs with a domed beamed ceiling and views of the loch. There is an open fire in the lounge and a pretty garden. Cars can be parked beside the property. 
FERN COTTAGE STB 3 Stars. Adjacent to Glencairn. For four people, the living area is very spacious offering a lounge, dining room, and lovely modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. The cosy sun lounge looks on to the garden. Facilities in both properties: Cots and highchairs available. Pets welcome. Bed linen is provided. Electricity charged by meter.
