FORNSIDE FARM COTTAGES enjoy a stunning location at the foot of the Helvellyn range surrounded by dramatic Lakeland scenery. St.John's in the Vale is quiet and unspoilt with wonderful panoramic views yet only 6 miles from Keswick and within easy reach of Grasmere and the tranquil lakes of Derwentwater and Thirlmere.

This is superb walking country. Take a quiet stroll by the river or strike out on to the high fells where the views from the top are breathtaking. Nearby there is pony trekking, fishing and golf to enjoy. Fornside is a working hill farm with sheep and free range hens. You can feed the ducks, follow the private farm trail and enjoy the local wildlife - look out for red squirrels and buzzards. In Keswick you will find a leisure pool, the Theatre by the Lake and plenty of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearest pub is at Thirlspot - 2 miles.

Set back from the road the cottages have been beautifully converted from stone barns alongside the traditional Lakeland farmhouse. They provide spacious accommodation of a high standard retaining many original features. Warm and welcoming with full central heating they are comfortable at any time of the year.
