This stylish terraced Lakeland cottage nestles in a row of similar cottages just off the centre of this ever-popular village providing a perfect retreat. Tucked away in a quiet backwater, it makes a fine getaway with a real cottage atmosphere and a luxurious feel. Appropriately named Fireside cottage it has been tastefully and sympathetically restored to a sophisticated standard that blends comfortable old-world charm with 21st century finish, complete with Laura Ashley throughout.
Please note, the lower floor to Fireside can be closed off, which allows the cottage to be rented for only 2 guests at a discounted rate - in low season.
Windermere is well known as an excellent centre within the Lake District National Park and is perfect place from which to explore at any time of year. The village has a wide range of good local shops, pubs and fine restaurants and a variety of tourist services that will help you to fully appreciate the surrounding lakes and fells.
 
Accommodation Entrance into a beautiful, cosy yet bright lounge and stunning fireplace with inset wood burner, sumptuous furnishings and complemented by the finishing touches. The kitchen is modern and lovely and very well equipped, which include electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and also a washer/dryer. There is a stunning bathroom at this level with WC and wash basin, and a large bath to soak in after a long hike over the fells. Upstairs there is a romantic king size bedroom with separate dressing room including a shower room complete with 2nd WC and wash basin. The dressing room has a good quality sofa bed, suitable for small children. On the lowest floor there is a bright, second lounge with dining area for 4 people, and there is a patio door that leads out into the small, but intimate outside patio area which has seating for 4. The patio is well stocked with a variety of plants and flowers, such as jasmine and honeysuckle, which come alive with their scent in the evening, perfect for alfresco dining. This floor also houses the second spacious and beautifully decorated double bedroom, which makes this cottage perfect for two couples who may value their privacy. The lower floor also has its own shower room, with WC and wash hand basin. Arrival times from 3.00pm, and departure times 10.00am.
