Four stone cottages in woodland setting and a detached house on lake side set in the 100 acre historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle. Situated between Perth and Dundee, being only 15 minutes drive from either and about an hour's drive from Edinburgh. Lettings run Friday to Friday, or Friday to Monday, or Monday to Monday, or Monday to Friday.
An ideal base for touring, strolling around the castle grounds or relaxing in front of a log fire. There are wonderful trees, statues, topiary, lake, streams and views. The famous grounds of the castle were laid out when the ancestors of the present owner first moved to the castle in the 16th Century. The half mile drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses the Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge which overlooks St.Peter's wishing well in the dell below.
Accommodation Each cottage is well equipped with microwave, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, colour TV and video/DVD, pay phone, bath with separate shower etc. Log fires. Cots, highchairs and stairgates are provided if requested. Parking. Pets welcome but we request that dogs are not left unattended in either the cottages or grounds. There is an outdoor swimming pool (summer only) and a games room with full-size snooker table and table tennis which are available by arrangement. Cost includes electricity, heating, logs and use of linen and towels.
