 The first thing that strikes you about Fiddlers' Retreat, is its sensational setting. The Cuillin mountains fill the view on the far shore of Loch Eishort. Seabirds call, and seals or even an otter may be seen. There is a feeling of being close to nature, and the clean Highland air is truly invigorating. Your relaxing holiday begins immediately. The chalet is one of a group of ten, each individually owned, well spaced out, each enjoying a unique view (sunsets are a speciality!). The style resembles a traditional cottage, but the wood lined interior and open plan layout exhibit a Scandinavian feeling of light and spaciousness. The chalet is used by the owners as a weekend retreat, and has an atmosphere of comfort and informality. It is well appointed, including many thoughtful features, including a timber deck which is a sheltered suntrap. Ord is located on the western side of the Sleat Peninsula, 'The Garden of Skye', a beautiful area, brimming with fine scenery, walks, wildlife, and opportunities to enjoy fine food, boat trips, exhibitions and traditional music. Touring in Skye offers a wide range of historical, cultural and recreational attractions - one visit is never enough!
