Hi - welcome to our site! A little extra information may prove useful, so with this in mind, here goes :
Having inherited Fernilea Cottage in 2007 we spent almost a year renovating and decorating the property, as well as improving the garden and surrounding area. We have tried to incorporate all the things we look for in a holiday property - warmth, comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful surroundings. We hope you enjoy it!
We want you to enjoy your stay in Skye - it's a wonderful place and, although we can't guarantee the weather, we will do our best to make sure you have a great time at Fernilea. The kitchen, living room and king sized bedroom are are generous in size, whilst the double and single bedrooms are more compact. All the beds are new and the duvets and pillows are all hollow fibre. The bathroom has been refitted and has an instant electric power shower. The cottage has been redecorated and re-carpeted throughout.
The grounds are spacious - Fernilea Cottage sits in aprox 1 acre of land - and the setting is special. The cottage has great uninterrupted views along Loch Harport to the West, and to the Cuillins in the East. If it's a relaxing holiday you're after, then Fernilea Cottage will provide that.
If you're interested in renting the cottage, please email or phone, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Early booking and confirmation is advised, as the summer months especially are very popular and are sometimes booked in advance.
A £100 deposit (per week booked) will secure the booking.

Cheques drawn on a UK bank account, made payable to "Jennifer Macleod".
Direct transfer to the Owner's bank account - details available on request.

The balance is due eight weeks before the commencement of the hire period.
Cancellation: should a cancellation be made by the Client, the Owner will seek to re-let the Property for the hire period. If successful in doing so, a full refund of the hire charge will be offered. If not, the deposit will be forfeited by the client. If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks prior to the hire period, and the Owner is unable to re-let the Property for the full hire period, the full hire charge will be forfeited by the Client.
Subject to any specific agreement to the contrary, hire periods begin on Saturday at 4pm and ends at 10am on the following Saturday. The maximum hire period is 3 weeks and the Property is offered for holiday purposes only. Short-term hires of 3 or 4 days may be possible, subject to availability. Where no guests are due in behind you - or have been in before you - we are happy to be flexible whenever possible.
The total number of persons occupying the property should not exceed 5 adults (plus 1 baby in a cot). Subletting is strictly prohibited.
We regret we cannot accept pets.
Fernilea is a non smoking area.
