Fernilea Cottage is a recently renovated, cosy cottage situated on the shores of Loch Harport on the west coast of Skye. Its central location makes it an excellent base for touring giving easy access to the Cuillin Mountain range from either Sligachan (10min drive), or Glenbrittle (20min drive). The cottage is situated on an elevated site offering impressive uninterrupted views along Loch Harport to the Cuillins in the east. The property offers a high level of comfort and facilities, having a generous enclosed south facing grassy garden to the front, a second area of garden with an attractive natural burn and large drying green lies to the side. The driveway provides off-road parking for 2 vehicles.

Accommodation comprises:

Kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, & washer/dryer. Dining table seats up to 5.
The Living room has a feature fireplace, wide screen TV, Sky satellite, DVD player, CD player & iPod/iPhone Dock, Nintendo Wii, and Telephone (incoming calls only, except 999).
From the Living room a hall gives access to the remaining 3 bedrooms, as well as a porch, and front door giving direct access to the front garden.

Location:

Fernilea Cottage is 35 miles from the Skye Bridge, 20 miles from Portree, and 10 miles from Glenbrittle and Sligachan, the main access points for the Cuillin mountain range.
The Sligachan Loop mountain bike trail can also be accessed from here. Carbost is a friendly highland village 1.5 miles away and has a local shop, post office, welcoming local pub, as well as the famous Talisker Distillery and Visitors Centre.
Dunvegan Castle is also only a short drive away.
Fernilea Cottage is situated in an ideal central location from which to tour the island.
