Fawcett Mill, overlooking the quiet, unspoilt Howgill Mountains is situated only 2 miles from the M6 motorway. Hidden in its own tranquil valley with a stream running from an adjacent waterfall through 7 acres of meadowland.

The property accommodates up to 16 + 4 + cots.
Ideal for family and group reunions and get togethers.

The property, built in 1794 as the mill owner's house is furnished in comfortable country style, with oak beams and open hearths throughout. It is equipped to a very high standard with full gas central heating and fitted carpets in all bedrooms.

The property has a sauna, a Victorian range and 2 kitchens, 1 fitted with Rayburn cooker and log fires. Outside, as well as barbecue areas, there are extensive terraces and patios bordering the stream.

Fawcett Mill is available as a whole with:
  • 3 double bedrooms (2 with four poster beds), 4 twin bedrooms (1 with additional bunkbeds) and a double futon and double settee bed in the lounge.
  • There are 2 separate kitchens, a Rayburn gas cooker, equipped with washing machines, dishwashers, electric cookers, fridges and microwaves.
  • 2 bathrooms, 2 shower rooms, and a sauna.
  • 2 lounges each with TV, video and radio, and a living room with Victorian range.
  • Fawcett Mill sleeps 16 +4 (+2cots).
The location is ideal for hill walkers, with easy access to the Howgill mountains and fells. The Coast to Coast Walk passes through our local village of Orton which is mid-way between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks.

The small country lanes and villages are popular with both walkers and cyclists.
