Èirigh na Gréine (sunrise, pron. "airey na grain") sits in half an acre of gardens looking out over the ever-changing tides of Broadford Bay.
Broadford itself is just 10 minutes from the toll-free Skye bridge on the main road to Portree and makes an ideal base for exploring not only the enchanting island itself, but also some of the spectacular scenery of Wester Ross.
The house Located on a quiet road in the heart of the village, Èirigh na Gréine is within easy walking of all village amenities including a supermarket, restaurants and bars, a 24hr filling station, bank with cash machine, post office, tourist office, library, and cottage hospital. - It comprises four bedrooms, two public rooms and a family dining kitchen.
- It sleeps eight/nine.
- There are two toilets, one with bath/shower and the other, on the ground floor, with a shower.
- The house is centrally heated, supplemented by open fires, comfortably furnished and freshly decorated.
- No smoking; regret no pets.
Sleeping - Three bedrooms are fitted with double beds, the fourth bedroom contains full-size wooden bunks.
- Two of the rooms face the sea.
- A single bed may be added to the largest of the bedrooms by arrangement.

Out and About - Top-class restaurants are within easy distance and offer fresh local seafood and farm produce.
- All the pubs sell excellent beer from Skye's own breweries or sample the island's own malt whisky at the renowned Talisker Distillery (a half-hour or so drive away).
- An all-abilities footpath runs along the shore in front of the house and travels 17 km across the island. An excellent 8 km circular walk can be taken past the pier where there is good chance of seeing otters, buzzards, owls, a variety of diving ducks, and perhaps a glimpse of a white-tailed sea eagle.
- Behind the village Beinn na Cailleach (680m) the most easterly of the Red Cuillins provides a deceptively steep climb over boulders and scree. In the house you'll find several guides to a huge range of hill and shore walks.
