Relax in a Hilltop Hideaway!
Eastside is a working family farm of 3000 acres located in the heart of the Pentland Hills Regional park. The 18th century farm steading has been imaginatively converted into three cottages which sit side by side amid spectacular scenery and combine old world charm with all modern conveniences. - Observe farming life in action.
- Take to the hills on one of the numerous scenic walks on the farm and beyond.
- Watch the wildlife - badgers and hares abound. Buzzards, Kestrels and Peregrines are regularly spotted.
- See the sites of Edinburgh - we are only six miles along the A702 from the city by-pass.
- Tour the Scottish Borders - the stately homes and castles are a short car journey away.
Eastside Stable
 Eastside Stable has accommodation for 2 people in a very large sitting/dining room with a maple wood floor and wood burning stove. At one end of this spacious room, there is an oak wardrobe which conceals a very comfortable, full size double wall bed, as well as ample storage space. N.B. This bed folds away fully made up under finger tip control! There is a well-equipped, fitted kitchen next door with a traditional arched window. French doors from both the kitchen and the sitting/dining room lead into the conservatory. Access to the mature garden is through the conservatory. There is a bathroom off the hall with a shower and toilet.
Services The cottage has ample parking in the farmyard at the entrance and a mature garden bounded by a dry stone dyke at the back of the property. The cottage is well equipped with en electric cooker, refrigerator, freezer, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave, colour TV with DVD player and video, Hifi, payphone, cot, high chair and electric storage heating. Logs and electricity are provided free of charge as are bed linen and towels.
