Set in the Waterfall Country of the picturesque Vale of Neath, Yr Hen Stabl is the total transformation of an old disused stable. While the thick stone walls, odd windows and hayloft door have been retained, the interior has been given new life by the use of natural materials; reclaimed timber being used for beams, doors and upstairs flooring with the ground floor in slate. Modern comforts mix with antique style. Sloping ceilings and wide plank doors sit comfortably with the most up to date bathroom fittings, double glazing and central heating. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one single, with pull-out bed available. All bed linen and duvets provided. There is a bathroom upstairs and downstairs a shower/wet room, both supplied with fluffy towels. The through lounge is separated from the kitchen by an antique Victorian counter rescued from the local corner shop. This area is tastefully furnished and decorated with paintings and books and fresh flowers and complemented by soft lighting. There is a Flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, and radio. The French windows open out to a sunny enclosed patio in a landscaped garden. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, washing machine, ceramic hob cooker, microwave, belfast sink and breakfast bar. Instant hot water and central heating are included in the tariff. Yr Hen Stabl is accessible by wheelchair and has a downstairs WC and shower and a sofa bed in the lounge. Parking in grounds for two cars. Our years in business at Yr Hen Stabl have been so rewarding, with guests from all over the world expressing their gratitude.
"Your welcome, advice and much appreciated information on Welsh life and history, made our stay very special." Keith and Maddy.
