Doxford Farm is a 500 acre working farm situated amidst undulating, unspoilt wooded countryside close to the Northumberland coast and its sandy beaches.
 The lake and the small pond hold brown trout, and our visitors are welcome to fish free of charge, and the farm has five miles of wooded and lakeside walks and trails to enjoy. North Northumberland is abundantly supplied with places of interest, and dotted along the coast are the castles of Warkworth, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh, and the Priory and Castle of Holy Island.
ACCOMMODATION
Cottages 1 to 7 are all stone terraced cottages and the water supply is from a private spring. Parking is available outside each cottage.
Northside (No.1)
This cottage is north facing with its own garden. There are three bedrooms a double, a twin and a large bedroom with a double and a single. There is a sitting room with video and TV and a separate dining room and a well equipped kitchen with a cooker, microwave, washer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a bath with a shower overhead. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter. Also has Rayburn.
Marian's Cottage (No.2)
This cottage has three bedrooms a double, a twin and a double plus single. The kitchen is large and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. The sitting room has a TV and video and is well furnished. The bathroom is upstairs and has a shower overhead and a bath. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter.
Cottage (No.3)
This is a mid-terraced cottage with a double en-suite bedroom, a twin and double plus single. There is a sitting room with open fire, video and TV and separate dining room and bathroom downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter. Refurbished this year.
Jake's Cottage (No.4)
This cottage is our smallest, with a twin bedroom. There is a large well equipped kitchen and sitting room with wood burning stove and a TV. The bathroom has a bath with shower overhead. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter.
The Steward's Cottage (No.5)
This cottage is a three bedroomed cottage with a double, a twin and a double plus a single. The sitting room is spacious and well furnished with a wood burning stove, video and TV. The kitchen is large and well equipped with an oil fired Aga cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave. The bathroom has a bath with a shower overhead. Heated towel rail and heater. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter.

This cottage is south facing overlooking the garden. There are two bedrooms, one double and one very large room with a double and two singles. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with an open fire and TV and video. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and a microwave. The bathroom has a bath with a shower overhead and a heated towel rail and heater. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter.
Eastend Cottage (No.7)
This cottage is south facing with two bedrooms, one double and one with 3 singles. The sitting room is well furnished with a TV and open fire, there is a separate dining room and well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and electric cooker etc. Bathroom has a bath and an overhead shower. Electricity is by a £1 coin meter and linen is provided.
Farm House Annexe No. 9
This property is the wing of the farm house at Doxford Farm and sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room with a bathroom upstairs. The sitting room is quaint with open beams and there is a TV and video. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge. There is a dining table in the sitting room. There are large gardens back and front and a pond adjacent. This is a very peaceful spot with only our family around (we are not always quiet!!) but there is no through traffic as we are at the end of the road. There are no meters - the heating etc is all inclusive.
Dairymaid's Cottage No. 8
We have recently bought this cottage and totally renovated and refurbished it and it has been graded 4 stars with the Tourist Board. Strictly no pets allowed. It is a terraced farm cottage at North Charlton farm which is our neighbouring farm just west of the A1 and so ideally situated for exploring both the coast and the hills and close to direct routes north and south. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, all upstairs, a double a twin and a room with bunks. The bathroom is large with a bath and separate shower. The sitting room is a good size and well furnished with a TV and video. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer. There is a dining area in the Kitchen. There are no meters and all the heating and hot water is provided by oil fired central heating. There is car parking at the rear of the cottage.
