 Set in the heart of Nidderdale; North Yorkshire, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dowgill Barn has been recently (2006) converted into a luxurious and spacious self catering holiday cottage which comfortably sleeps up to six people. - The property is situated on Dowgill Farm which dates back to 1679 and is a traditional Dales stone building where many of the original stone walls and wooden beams have been retained to provide accommodation of real character, for example, all of the bedrooms are open to the pitch of the roof to reveal the wooden trusses.
 - On the farm a small herd of pedigree Dexter cattle are kept alongside a flock of North of England Mule sheep. Home produced beef and lamb may be available depending on the time of year.
- From the Barn there are great views over the surrounding countryside. The garden and outside seating area catches all the afternoon and evening sun and is an ideal place for a barbecue whilst watching the sun set over the hills.
- We hope that the barn will have everything you need for a relaxing break, to help you settle in a hamper of local produce and some essentials will be provided.
Ground floor Entrance Lobby: with ample space for coats and shoes. Kitchen: fully equipped with electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The is plenty of storage space and work surfaces. Dining Area: along with the kitchen the dining area has a stripped wooden floor and the dining table will comfortably seat up to eight people. The downstairs toilet/washroom is off the dining area. Living Area: an expansive area of 30' x20' approx. with a log effect gas stove, there is a TV with DVD/Video as well as a CD/Tuner. First Floor - Access by stairs across a galleried landing to three bedrooms.
- Bedroom One: a double room with an ensuite shower room.
- Bedroom Two: this room has a zip and link bed to provide either a double bed or twin beds depending on your requirements.
- Bedroom Three: equipped with three-foot bunk beds.
- House Bathroom: containing bath, shower, toilet and wash basin.
- All the bedrooms have ample storage space for clothes and all bed linens and towels are provided for your convenience.
