Dorothy Cottage is a newly built terraced cottage in the classic East Neuk Style, with spectacular unrestricted sea views over the Firth of Forth. It is situated in small development in the coastal conservation village of West Wemyss which dates back to the 15th Century and is on the route of the Fife Coastal Path. On a clear day you can relax in the back garden with a glass of wine and see Edinburgh across Forth, the sun glistening on the sea. Dorothy Cottage is an ideal place for a romantic holiday for two, but is big enough to cope with the whole family! It has three double bedrooms, sleeps six, includes TV, DVD, CD, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, and all linen and towels are provided. All furnished to a very high standard. Starter packs for late arrivals and special packages of flowers, wine chocolates, champagne available on request. Dorothy Cottage is built on the site of the old village school, and is within 5 mins walk of the village pub and the hotel, which serves lunch and dinner often serving fresh seafood dishes. - The cottage is ideally situated to visit the East Fife fishing villages such as Elie, Crail and Pittenweem. You can walk along the Fife Coastal Path, or take the car.
- More locally, a wide variety of shops, supermarkets and activities can be found in Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas.
- Things to do include horse riding, walking, quad biking, go-Karting, cycling, water sports and of course golf!
- Or maybe you fancy coming to Scotland for the Edinburgh festival but don't want to be in the centre? Then we have the ideal holiday for you. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city at festival time and then return to the peace of West Wemyss as Dorothy Cottage is ideally situated 35 mins by train direct from Kirkcaldy Station, which is 10 mins by car or taxi.
