Doonside is a spacious holiday home in a beautiful setting on the banks of the River Doon. The property has recently been renovated and decorated to a high standard.

Accommodation
  • Five bedrooms and five bathrooms makes it perfect for large groups and families. Two of the bathrooms have en suite facilities and each of the five has either a bath or a shower.
  • The large kitchen/diner has a dinner table to seat 12, and there are a further two seats at the breakfast bar.
  • There is a modern lounge with TV and DVD player and a second living room upstairs with a TV, DVD player and a wide range of toys, games and books.
  • There is one travel cot and one high chair in the house, but more can be provided if required.
  • The extensive garden has a decking area and a safe, fenced play area for children, who can enjoy a range of outdoor toys including a wooden swing/slide set.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
  • There is a gas BBQ and range of outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco dining.
  • There is ample parking space for up to 4 cars and a shop and friendly cafe within walking distance.
  • Well-behaved pets are welcome at Doonside, at no additional charge. We simply ask for a £100 pet damage deposit on top of our normal £200 good housekeeping deposit.
Location
  • The local area has plenty to offer. Take a leisurely walk along the beach, spend an afternoon fishing or book a round of golf at one of the top quality courses in the area.
  • Whatever your age or interests, there is something to keep you entertained during your stay. Learn about the town's most famous son, Robert Burns, at the recently redeveloped Burns Heritage Museum. Take the children to Heads of Ayr Farm Park for a great family day out.
  • Facilities for tennis, swimming, biking, sailing and horse riding are all nearby.
  • Ayr Racecourse, home of the Scottish Grand National and the Ayr Gold Cup, is another great day out.
  • You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, bars and night life.
  • There are great transport links for Glasgow if you want to spend some time in the city.
  • We can make personal recommendations and are happy to help you make all the arrangements and bookings you need to ensure you have a memorable stay in Ayr.
