Welcome to Detchant Holiday Cottages Noticeboard.
The Coach House and Doll's House are ideal for a holiday in the spring and we still have some vacancies. Please e mail or call to find out about our lovely cottages and garden, with large enclosed play area which is especially good for young children.
We can offer a 5% discount on normal weekly rate if the cottage is used by only one or two people (using only one bedroom).
The area is rich in activities to suit every taste:
 Visit the renowned Alnwick Gardens and Castle: stroll around the garden and then you can eat in the Pavilion Cafe, the Tree House restaurant, (both in the Garden), or the family friendly Sanctuary restaurant nearby.
Walk the walls at Berwick, and see the Lowry trail
Visit Paxton House and see the red squirrels then walk on the banks of the River Tweed.
Or you could spend a day at Bamburgh - find the 'Bamburgh Banger' shop, walk or build sandcastles on the beach, visit the castle, Grace Darling museum and St Aidan's Church.
Try the beautiful beaches at Goswick and Beadnell.
If you feel more active, walk in the hills or cycle on the Coast and Castles cycle route, which runs close to the cottages. There are several golf courses within easy distance. Alnwick and Berwick have swimming pools/leisure centres.
