 Approached via a long sweeping driveway, flanked by a large wild life pond and undulating fields grazed by cattle, Dale Cottage nestles in a secluded spot in the heart of the Peak National Park, surrounded by pretty mature gardens. From the grounds there is easy access to the Monsal Trail and footpaths to local villages, Bakewell, Monsal Head and beyond.

Accommodation  
  • This spacious semi detached cottage is full of character with original beams and stone mullioned windows.
  • The painted country kitchen is a large and well-equipped, with stone mullioned windows to three aspects. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and pine breakfast table and chairs.
  • Two openings lead through to a large comfortably furnished lounge/dining room, and features the original beamed ceiling with exposed timbers, wide pine floorboards and a large original gritstone fire place with log burning stove.
  • The staircase leads to a newly refurbished shower room.
  • Up another few steps, which leads to a long landing providing access to the bedrooms and family bathroom.
  • The king size bedroom has oak beams over the windows to three aspects, and feature timbered wall.
  • A further double bedroom with feature timbered wall, and window with oak beams over the window providing a view over the field and woods opposite.
  • The pretty third double bedroom has an apex ceiling with oak purlings and timbers over the original stone mullioned window.
  • Two steps lead to the spacious family bath room comprising bath, toilet, bidet, separate shower cubicle and basin with shaver point/light.
  • Bed linen and background heating are included.
  • An extra single bed/cot can be provided in the king size room for a small extra charge.
  • Sorry no dogs in this cottage, please ask about our other cottages where dogs are welcome.
  • Strictly no smoking please.
  • The cottage is approached along stone and gravel pathways.
Outside  
  • The cottage has views over neighbouring garden and field with cattle, there is a stone paved patio with outdoor seating for guests use.
  • Guests also have access to the large wildlife pond (at the beginning of the driveway) that is home to Mallards, Coots, Moorhens, frogs, toads, newts, an abundance of fish and occasional heron!
  • The private gate to the Monsal Trial is accessed through the fields via the gate or stile off the main driveway.
  • There is parking for one vehicle at the cottage (please enquire if you require more than one parking space).
  • Please note this cottage is not as near to the parking area, so our other cottages better meet the requirements of less mobile guests.
