Situated in the beautifully maintained grounds of an historic 17th century castle and a short distance from Inverness and its airport, the Coach House has been recently converted to the highest standard. This is a wonderfully comfortable base from which to explore the Highlands, Loch Ness, local castles (Cawdor, Stuart, Urquhart), local distilleries and the West Coast. Many original features have been retained, including the large stone arches which provide floor to ceiling windows in the kitchen and also the old hatchway to the loft.

The Coach House is adjacent to a quiet country lane and is within 5 minutes drive of the historic Culloden battlefield and visitor centre and 15 minutes drive of Inverness - the capital of the Highlands. Inverness is nowadays a bustling city with superb rail and air links, shopping and leisure facilities of ice rinks, cinemas, theatres and flume swimming pools.

There are renowned long sandy beaches a few miles away at Nairn and also many golf courses close by including a championship course at Nairn, and Dornoch. Other local attractions include; Loch and river fishing, dolphin rides, sailing ,and hill  and woodland walks.

Visitors comments:
"Our holiday at the Coach House was splendid in every way. The accommodation was superb, the weather glorious, numerous places to visit within easy reach, including watching the dolphins at Nairn, and excellent eating places for lunch."
Dr Chadwick, Lancs.

"The Coach house was beyond belief, a superb location with views over the firth and inside furnished with taste and style. It is without doubt the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in."
Mr  Roberts, Cornwall.

"The house is beautifully appointed, and we very much appreciated the central heating - We like the freedom of self catering and have stayed at many locations, and would have no hesitation in putting Dalcross top of our list."
Mrs Sturdy, North Yorkshire.
