The Cottages We offer three properties of character, situated around the delightful courtyard of Foulsyke, an impressive Manor House dating back to the time of Henry VIII. The cottages have been tastefully converted from the former barn and stables and provide spacious, warm and comfortable accommodation. They are equipped to the highest standard and include antique brass and iron beds, baths for two, colour teletext TV, DVD, video, electric double oven cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer, payphone, clock radio, cots and high chairs. Ample off-road parking. This excellent location offers a wide range of mountain, valley and lakeside walks from the door. It also provides an ideal base for touring, with Cockermouth (7 miles), Keswick (10 miles) and road links to much of Lakeland, the Borders and the Cumbrian Coast.
