Situated in lush farmland in the valley between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake, Crookelty boasts spectacular all round fell views with Skiddaw to the North and Grizedale Pike and Catbells to the South. Crookelty is in the charming hamlet of Millbeck, just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Keswick with its pubs, restaurants, theatre and many other attractions.
Accommodation The property has loads of character and old fashioned charm. It has recently been renovated and is decorated, furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard yet still retains many original features such as the inglenook fireplace, exposed oak beams and heavy solid oak front door. The property has been split into 2 self contained units but has internal dividing doors which, when unlocked, open up the house and attached byre into one large property to sleep up to 13. It is ideal for large family gatherings or groups of couples. When let as one property you have the use of 2 dining kitchens plus a huge formal dining room. There are 2 sitting rooms, each with a real fire, and 6 bedrooms, of which 4 are doubles. 2 of the bedrooms have en-suite showers. The sitting rooms have TV, DVD and CD/radio and the kitchens have range cookers as well as all the modern appliances you would expect. The outside areas comprise a garden, a patio and parking for up to 6 cars. General details - Crookelty and its grounds are strictly non-smoking.
