Situated in picturesque Police Close, one of the many ancient closes leading off Kirkcudbright's historic Old High Street. Tastefully enlarged and converted, it is hard to imagine Croig as the dark and gloomy cells of the original town police station from whence the name of the old close derives.

On the ground floor:
Spacious lounge/diner, patio door access to garden area; sitting-room, fully-fitted modern kitchen /diner and utility-room with toilet.

On the first floor:
Two double bedrooms; one twin bedroom; one single bedroom with bunk beds; family bathroom.

Croig is fully equipped, with gas central heating throughout. As well as its own secluded garden, Croig's large sunny patio area is ideal for family barbecues.

About Kirkcudbright
  • Kirkcudbright, known as the Artists' Town, has long been famous for its association with the Arts and artists. Many of the famous 'Glasgow Boys' (and Girls!) lived and worked in the town. Just a short walk from Croig is Broughton House (famed for its former occupant, Edward Hornel) and Greengate Close (home of Jessie M. King and her husband E.A. Taylor) - to name but two!
  • Other cultural attractions of the town include a castle, Tolbooth (now an Arts centre), a working harbour, and a museum crammed full of interesting objects from the local area.
  • For the more energetic, the town offers a great deal: the popular swimming pool, suitable for all ages and abilities, public tennis courts, Wild-life Park, river-trips, fishing, historic walks around the town. There are also many lovely beaches just a short drive away.
  • In the summer months, the town offers a very varied range of cultural and entertaining festivities to suit all tastes. In and around the town there are many excellent eating places, catering for all tastes and all budgets.
