Croft House Holiday Cottages at Applethwaite, an unspoilt, rural village nestling at the foot of Skiddaw just over 1 mile from Keswick in the English Lake District, offer five quality self catering properties accommodating from 2 to 8 people. All five are four stars, have peaceful settings and spectacular views.
 Croft Head Farm is a handsome, detached barn conversion on the edge of Applethwaite village with spacious accommodation for 8 people. (There are 9 bed spaces but the occupancy is limited to 8 plus babies in cots.) It has beautiful views south to the Borrowdale and north-western fells and west down the Bassenthwaite valley.
GROUND FLOOR: - Kitchen/dining room: Dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment.
- Utility room: Washing machine, tumble drier, freezer and second fridge.
- Shower room and cloakroom.
 - Snooker room with quality, full size, double sofa bed (also wardrobe and drawer space), snooker table, open fire, colour television. French doors to slate-paved terrace.
FIRST FLOOR: - Two bathrooms with bath, toilet and wash basin (one also has shower over bath.)
- Master double bedroom, further double bedroom and triple bedroom.
- Lounge with open fire, colour television, video, DVD player, music system.
OTHER FACILITIES: - BBQ/garden furniture.
- Large garden.
- Car parking for 6 cars.
- Store shed for cycles.
- Footpaths 'from the door'.
Red squirrels can still be seen in the Applethwaite area and Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, where ospreys have nested in recent years, are only five minutes away. Keswick has easy access to other areas of the Lake District and there are many other lakes within a 30 minute drive.
