comments from our guests......
just a brief e-mail to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in the cottage last week. superb cottage, very clean, and very comfortable and well equipped.the glen was as beutifull as we remembered it from 20yrs ago, memories came flooding back. many thanks.
Just got home after our wonderful stay at creag ruadh cottage and we are already missing it. The cottage is very tastefully furnished and decorated with all the comforts of home. Enjoyed dawn and dusk the most when the red deer ventured from the hillside into the adjacent field. The dogs enjoyed the river at the bottom of the garden and the freedom of the fully enclosed and secure garden. We saw buzzard, sparrow hawk and siskins as well as the usual garden birds. We also saw golden eagles and sea eagles on a visit to the Inn at Melvaig near Gairloch and saw 100 plus pilot whales on a trip with ecoventures out from cromarty. A wildlife lovers paradise. We'll be back !!
Just to say thanks for a great stay. Lovely house with such tasteful modern décor. You were right too, everything you needed was there. I even got my Ipod to work with your stereo.
Will certainly consider it again, next time we are thinking of a Self Cater somewhere quiet.
Christmas was greeted by champers and a Christmas Tree at Creag Ruadh. We had the greatest of times, it was cold but that did not stop us exploring the outside even on Christmas Day.
If there was ever a place you should visit for fantastic surroundings and all the comforts of home. Then this is it!
a line to let you know that Madge and I had a fabulous week at the cottage. Creag Ruadh is perfect as is the location; you forget how wonderful nature sounds when it is all you can hear.
We did all of our walks from the cottage and each was a gem; we only met other people on one walk out of five! Fantastic.
To top all of this we had brilliant weather!
Superb accomodation with every known home comfort. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility as well as the accessibility to wonderful open countyside. Our dogs loved the water and were swimming at every opportunity. The fine hot weather meant that they did not stay wet for long'.
Really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous cottage. Even the weather was largely very good. Great to see so much wildlife up close...never seen so many deer!
Don't normally return to a holiday cottage, but there is a good chance we will make an exception in this case!'
Your cottage was wonderful. So good after a hard day on the mountains (we averaged about 20 mls, and cumulative 4-5,000' daily). To get back to the comfort and ease of such an incredibly well thought out, virtually nothing not provided for place, and such a fine setting, wonderful mountains both sides. The valley beyond (all I could manage on last morning) is fabulous, like an illustration from an old guide book!'
'Just arrived home after fantastic week at your lovely cottage, it couldn't be in a more lovely setting. Every day a different light and more and more to see. Cottage is five star couldn't think of anything that was not there. Hope to visit again'.
The cottage was indeed exceptional - one of the best we have ever had'.
What an absolutely gorgeous cottage, spotless & so well equipped. Loads of deer around, it was great to watch them come down from the mountains in the evening and surrounding the cottage! The long winding river provided a great setting, and no doubt plenty of fish for all those fishermen. Great base for hillwalking and a munro baggers delight! Would highly recommend the cottage & Glen for others to visit. Would we go back? Definately'.
Perfect'
friend and I were fortunate enough to spend a week at your lovely home earlier this month, and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed ourselves. The weather was not the best, but we spent as much time as we could out and about. The rest of our week we curled up near that beautiful coal fire. I love to cook, so your well equipped kitchen was a joy.
We have spent quite a lot of time in the Inverness area, and north and south of it, but had never been in Strathconon. It's a hidden jewel, so beautiful and dramatic.
Thank you for sharing your spectacular home.
