 Craigneen Cottage is the second in a row of traditional fishermen's cottages set around the shore of this attractive fishing village. There are uninterrupted views over the shore and across the bay to the harbour, from every room in the house. The harbour has recently been converted to a marina and is now mostly used by pleasure craft. The cottage has been completely refurbished over the past few years.
The county town of Banff is approx 3 miles to the east, and there is a coastal path between Whitehills and Banff which is very popular with walkers. Macduff is one mile further on and has a working harbour, also a fine marine aquarium. Golfers are well catered for at Duff House Royal at Banff and Tarlair Golf Course at Macduff. Aberdeen is just under 50 miles away, approx one hour by car.
The cottage comprises:
Downstairs: Hallway. Living room - with settee, two chairs, TV with remote control and video, music centre, corner unit, nest of tables, coffee table, wall unit. Kitchen/dining area - recently installed kitchen, electric hob and oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery for up to 6 people. Dining area has table and chairs to seat up to 6 people, also portable colour TV and radio. Upstairs: Two double bedrooms, one with double bed, one with single beds - both have fitted wardrobes and extra storage space. Bathroom - with bath with electric shower, wc, wash basin, heated towel rail and electric heater. Boxroom suitable for storing suitcases. General details: Heating by night storage heaters supplemented by gas fire in living room and electric convector heater in kitchen. Linen, towels and kitchen towels are supplied. All electricity and gas charges included in price. Ample parking at front of cottage. |
