This most attractive old farmhouse is only yards from the beach at the head of Loch Craignish. Surrounded by lawns with almost an acre of gardens to explore, Craigdhu is a delightful place to holiday at any time of the year.

Built around a central courtyard, Craigdhu takes its name from the dramatic black basalt rock immediately behind the house. Once the principal farmhouse of Barbreck Estate, it is still very much part of the farm. Now a spacious family home, recently renovated to a very high standard, Craigdhu has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and sleeps nine. From the upstairs bedrooms and the large games room there are superb views across the loch.
  • With the village shop less than a mile down the road, a choice of good local restaurants and pubs, and many things to see and do nearby, you'll find that Craigdhu is a wonderfully convenient and interesting place to holiday.
  • There are plenty of opportunities for getting afloat, you could take the ferry from Oban and spend a day on Mull or Iona or go whale watching on Britain's most powerful wildlife charter boat - one of many boat trip options.
  • Two world famous golf links are within easy reach, the Machrihanish near Campbeltown and the Machrie on Islay.
  • There is a big choice of walks, many amazing gardens, excellent trout fishing, sea angling and some of the best surfing in Scotland, plus a famous sea aquarium and the extraordinary Inveraray Jail.
