Craig y Mor is our holiday home right by the sea. It is a 5-bedroom house on the sought-after Parrog, in Newport, Pembrokeshire. The coastal path goes past the front garden wall, and the view, ever changing with the tide, is of sea, estuary and headland. Accommodation
5 bedrooms - 1 double and 4 twin.
2 bathrooms and 1 shower/wc.
Double sitting room with open fire.
Modern kitchen (with dishwasher) open to dining area.
Utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Gas fired central heating and hot water.
Sunny south-facing conservatory, opening onto a small sheltered back garden which has dining furniture for outdoor meals.
Location
The Parrog is ideal for kayaks, sailing, crabbing, windsurfing, shrimping, swimming, and walking the coastal path. At low tide, you can walk across the channel to a big, sandy beach the other side of the estuary; at high tide, the sea laps against the sea wall by the house.
The dear little "Cwm" beach is 5 minutes walk along the coast path. There are other lovely beaches not far away.
Newport itself, 5 or 10 minutes walk from the Parrog, is a delightful little town on the North Pembrokeshire coast between Fishguard and Cardigan. It has good food shops and several pubs and restaurants, a handful of shops and art galleries, including a brilliant hardware shop that sells wetsuits and inflatable dinghies.
Newport has a golf course, 2 tennis courts, good horse riding nearby, bike hire, and excellent walking - along the coastal path, up Carn Ingli mountain, or along the tranquil Gwaun and Nevern valleys.
