Coy Steading was originally a traditional 19th century Aberdeenshire granite farm building for housing cattle and storing grain. It was converted into an extremely spacious modern family house for the present owners in 1991. The location is stunning - a rural setting on the crest of a ridge with panoramic views to the south over Royal Deeside, surrounded by fields and forestry. Only 10 neighbours within a half-mile radius!
Come here to relax, and explore the beautiful northeast of Scotland. There is a wealth of family orientated things to do in the area. Whether it's heritage, castles, wildlife, fishing, golf, skiing, cycling, climbing, canoeing, walking, art, shopping, dining-out, or just escaping from it all and relaxing that you are looking for - there's something here for you. - Crathes Castle, one of Scotland's top visitor attractions, is within walking distance (1.5 miles).
- The nearby town of Banchory (4 miles) offers pubs, restaurants, banks, shops and small supermarkets.
- The cliffs and beaches of the Scottish east coast, mountains, forests and rivers of the Cairngorm National Park, Speyside whisky trail, and Victorian heritage sites are all within 30 -50 minutes drive.
