Cowclose Barn (new for 2008) These 2 comfortable cottages have original features, such as oak beams and stone buttresses, which give the cottages character. The comforts of modern living have been added.
Location: Situated in the tiny hamlet of Overgreen (B6050), 5 miles west of Chesterfield and to the east of The Peak District National Park.
The Robins has one large double bedroom. It has a downstairs bathroom, a sofa bed in the lounge, and may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The Swallows has a double en suite bedroom, a twin en suite bedroom and a single bedroom (not en suite). This cottage has a separate dining room.
SPECIAL FEATURES - Footpaths from the door lead to The Linacre Valley with its woods and reservoirs. There are walks for softies and those seeking the challenges of the nearby Peak District.
- The kitchens are well-equipped.
- If you don't want to cook, The Gate Inn pub/restaurant is very close and has an excellent reputation.
- Views of open countryside in all directions. Sheep and cows graze in the adjacent fields.
- A large enclosed garden, shared by the 2 cottages, where young children can play. There is a small play house (belonging to our granddaughters) and some toys for younger children. Patio for barbecues (tables, chairs, barbecue provided).
 - No smoking please.
- One well-behaved dog welcome in each cottage.
- Gas central heating, electricity, bedding and towels included in the price.
- Flat-screen TVs, DVDs, Radio/CD player.
- Cot, junior beds, high chair available.

What's Near? Chatsworth House - 15-20 minutes. Peak District -1 mile. Hardwick Hall (NT) - 25 minutes (It is the 400th anniversary since the death of Bess of Hardwick). Chesterfield - 10 minutes. Sheffield - 30 minutes.
