The Corner Pightle is a charming, traditional Norfolk flint cottage set in a quiet corner of Burnham Thorpe, the birthplace of Admiral Nelson. It looks across the green towards the 'Lord Nelson' - one of the best pubs in Norfolk.
Accommodation With its log burning stove and abundance of period features, the Pightle makes an ideal holiday home for both winter and summer. Downstairs comprises sitting room, kitchen, dining area, bedroom and bathroom (with shower). Upstairs there are three more bedrooms (one double, one twin and one single), and a bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge and electric oven (with gas hob). Double doors open from the kitchen on to a secluded and enclosed garden. We will provide all sheets, duvets bath towels etc and logs for the fire. Location Burnham Thorpe is just over a mile south east of Burnham Market and about three miles inland from the beach at Holkham. There are nature reserves just along the coast to the west; Titchwell, which is renowned for its bird life and Scolt Head Island - famous for its seal colony. Other attractions include golf at Brancaster and Hunstanton, coastal walks and several very good pubs, including the Hoste Arms at Burnham Market, the Lifeboat at Thornham - and of course, the Lord Nelson in Burnham Thorpe itself.
