The Corner House is a Grade II listed part-thatched Cotswold cottage in Kingham, situated on the West Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire borders and recently voted England's favourite village by Country Life magazine. The property dates from the 16th century.

The village has two pubs - one Michelin-starred - and an impressively stocked shop and post office. The world famous Daylesford farm shop and spa is a three minute drive or 20 minute walk through the fields at the back of the house.
The property is at the end of a quiet, no-through road and is decorated to high specification, with a stunning interior complemented by many traditional features. In colder weather you can curl up in front of a roaring fire and watch Sky movies, in the summer you can enjoy dining al fresco in the landscaped garden.

The property is ideal for a couple seeking a romantic hideaway or family groups numbering up to 5.

Ground floor

Large kitchen with long oak table and eight chairs, Stanley oil-burning cooker, TV, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine.
Spacious 24ft living room with flagstone floor, three big sofas, oak coffee table, vast fireplace and TV / DVD / Sky World package. Free WiFi.
Small utility room with fridge / freezer which leads to small, enclosed patio area.

First floor

Two beautifully decorated double bedrooms, one with TV.
One single bedroom.
Family bathroom with shower attachment.

Outside

Garden designed by Marion Ackrill, a prize winner from Chelsea Physic Garden. Please note the garden is private and secure, but is situated across a small pathway which leads to other houses.
There are enclosed patios to the front and rear of the house.
Plenty of free parking on the road.

Linen, towels, oil-fired central heating.
Garden: garden furniture provided.
Travel cot and high chair available if requested.

Weekly lets start Saturday.
Short breaks and other start days permitted in low season.
NB: There are strict rubbish/recycling rules in this area that must be adhered to.

Kingham has a mainline station (75 mins to London Paddington).
Nearby are Stow-on-the-Wold (5 miles), Chipping Norton (4 miles) and Moreton-in-Marsh (8 miles).
Within easy reach are Burford, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Bourton on the Water, and Oxford (20 miles), Stratford upon Avon (25 miles), Cheltenham (28 miles).
Nearby sites of interest include Sudeley Castle, Blenheim Palace, Hidcote garden, Chastleton House, Batsford Arboretum and Snowshill Manor.
