Cockle Kitty Cottage is situated 2 miles from Kelso at the end of Cliftonhill Farm with uninterupted views of beautiful, rolling border countryside.

One field away is the River Eden which is a tributary of the River Tweed. The Eden is fenced off with no stock permitted to graze therefore encouraging a great variety of wildlife like kingfishers, owls, families of otters, heron, fieldmice, deer and much more. Along the river is a hectare of wild flower meadow and sunflowers.
Beside the decked area there is an orchard with a summer house and hammocks.
  Cockle Kitty is on the East side of the Barn. It has 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin bedded room. One bathroom with overbath electric shower.
The beamed sitting room / dining room incorporates the original hemmel arch window overlooking the Eden valley. There is decking out through the arch window, and the kitchen door leads to the south. There is a sofabed for an extra 2 people.
Facilities: Electricity is included. Bed linen and towels included. Central heating. Wood burner and logs free of charge. Full double glazing. Colour TV, Sky TV, video, DVD player, cd player, cd cassette radio, electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer. Outside utility room with shared use of washing machine and tumble drier. Dishwasher and cot and high chair on request. Farm Walks, wild flower meadow, fishing, off road parking. Post Office, restaurant, small park, church in village. Short breaks welcome. Open all year. For 2007 a new all weather tennis court (no charge). Coaching can be arranged (£20 per hour). Cliftonhill Farm is an organic farm. There are seasonal vegetables including asparagus, potatoes, spinach, leeks, onions, tomatoes and herbs. Also strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants. Also free range eggs. There are also assorted plants which make lovely presents.
