 Cnoc Giorria Cottage (Hare Hill) is a 3 bedroom stone farmhouse that sleeps 5 in comfort. A delightful perch for summer holidays and a cosy berth for winter visits with full central heating and a Jotul wood burning stove and ample log supply. - The cottage is set on a hillside in the middle of Davitt Farm with spectacular mountain views to the front and rear.
- The house is 5 miles from the unspoiled Atlantic coast and 40 miles from Knock International airport in the west of Ireland which has regular flights from all main UK airports.
- The scenic, coastal town of Newport is also five miles away with shops, pubs, restaurants and music sessions.
- Sea fishing trips may be arranged from the harbour.
- Golf and river fishing are also local amenities.
Davitt Farm has been a working hill farm for the last one hundred and fifty years, remaining relatively unchanged and retaining many original dry stone walls. - Visitors to the farm have the opportunity to explore the farm and take a series of annotated walks across the land including some peat bogland with old turf cuttings - seeing how the farming year proceeds and learning about the diverse local plants and wildlife.
- Take wellies or waterproof boots and gaiters if you want to roam freely on the blanket bog.
Accommodation  We want the farm to be a restful and peaceful experience - the style is rustic with tiles, rugs and wooden furnishings. To this end there is currently no television or dishwasher. There is a record player and a good supply of vinyl (and a lead to attach an iPod to the sound system). There is also a projector and DVD player for watching films and a growing supply of DVDs. Dogs are welcome.
