 Clover Hill is idyllically situated in the picturesque, peaceful, crofting township of Torrin (population 65), six miles from Broadford.

The view from the cottage is simply breathtaking. In the foreground is a burn (with private access) which runs down from the Red Hills some 2000 feet above Torrin, before flowing into the sea at Loch Slapin, quarter of a mile from Clover Hill. The burn, surrounding trees and croftland all provide a tranquil setting for the dramatic, ever-changing backdrop of Blaven, rising majestically to 3044 feet above Loch Slapin. Blaven, part of the famous Black Cuillin, is widely considered to be one of Scotland's finest mountain views.
 Clover Hill is ideally located for people who enjoy walking, climbing, studying wildlife and other leisurely pursuits. There are demanding climbs such as in the Cuillin and on the Clach Glas ridge adjoining Blaven, and less strenuous walks and scrambles e.g. on the Red Hills above Torrin. There are low level routes including a coastal footpath which leads to Suishnish and Boreraig, where the remains of townships deserted at the time of the Highland Clearances can still be seen. Ten minutes walk away is a sandy beach (covered at high tide), one of only a few on Skye.
