 Escape the city crowds, park your car with ease and enjoy the freedom of self-catering here at Clifton Farm. Clifton Farm Cottage is situated on our friendly family run-working farm, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds close to York, it is a wonderful place to come and experience the fresh air and open views of North Yorkshire. - Sleeping 4 people in absolute comfort, this cottage is decorated to a very high 4 star standard; it provides all the amenities required to make your stay relaxing and memorable.
- Creatively transformed in 2005/06 from dereliction into a wonderful holiday cottage, it is light, spacious, inviting and warm with its gas powered log burner and electric central heating.
- Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity against the backdrop of the Yorkshire Wolds unfolding from your door.
 - Located 12 miles north east of York on the edge of the little village of Leavening it is an ideal location to stay for visiting York, the Coast, North Yorkshire Moors, Heartbeat country, Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, North Yorks steam railway, and many more places of interest.
- This sizeable cottage was once used as a milking parlour, when cows were milked by hand in stalls, and more recently, has been used to hand rear calves. The courtyard was once the fold yard where the cows used to patiently wait for their turn to be milked.
- The Jolly Farmers Inn, famed locally for its real ale and excellent food, is 3/4 mile away by road or a delightful 10-15 minute stroll through the fields or by the road. Torches supplied!! There is an abundance of other country Inns and Restaurants locally and I have tried them all, menus in the Cottage folder.
Accommodation  All on the ground floor. The sizable living/dining/sitting area is open plan. The oak kitchen has all modern conveniences including dishwasher, oven with extractor fan, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and kettle. The cottage faces south and has a double set of French doors in this room, always bright and sunny and looks out over rolling farmland towards the Yorkshire Wolds with fabulous views. For guests entertainment there is digital TV, DVD, CD radio, books and games. 2 spacious and very well appointed bedrooms with TV's: Master bedroom has a King size four poster bed with French doors opening into the courtyard. The second bedroom has a Superking twin zip and link bed, can be double or twin. The bathroom has both bath and shower facilities. Separate wc and wash basin. Separate laundry room with washer, drying facilities, iron and ironing board, freezer, BBQ, garden furniture, radio. Outside: - Courtyard has stunning views and is a real suntrap with outdoor furniture, various tubs and pots of flowers, an abundance of wild birds feeding at the feeders, outdoor drying facilities.
- Clifton farm is set in a beautiful, peaceful, picturesque location with lots of things to do and see close by, come and stay - you won't be disappointed!!

Don't worry about the pint of milk, eggs (laid by our own hens) or bread (homemade by me) these will be waiting for you in the cottage to get you started. Toiletries in the bathroom, hair dryers in the bedrooms along with tissues, radio alarms, remote colour TV's, these are only a few of the things you can expect to find here at Clifton farm.
