Cladach Cottage occupies a splendid position overlooking the harbour in the picturesque village of the Isle of Whithorn (white, left end of terrace in the centre of the photograph). The house is of modern construction built to an award winning design to fit into the conservation area of the traditional main street. The cottage is fully equipped and sleeps five comfortably.

Ground floor:  
  • Light and airy sitting room with open fire.
  • Well equipped kitchen/dining room overlooking small enclosed garden.
 First floor:  
  • Double bedroom with ample storage overlooking rear garden.
  • Twin bedded room and single bedded room both overlooking harbour.
  • Bathroom with bath and separate electric shower.
Facilities:  
  • Colour TV and DVD player.
  • Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, iron and ironing board.
  • Electric storage heaters supplemented by radiators heated from back boiler.
  • Prices inclusive of bed linen towels and electricity/heating costs (except Nov - Feb when charged at cost).
Location:  
  • Galloway has all that Scotland has to offer in a largely traffic free, uncrowded area that is rich in wildlife and has many sites of archaeological and historic interest.
  • Quiet beaches; way marked coastal, forest and hill walking are all in easy reach.
  • Excellent for cycling, there are signposted cycle routes throughout the area - one of the SUSTRANS national cycle network routes runs through the village. The Seven Stanes mountain bike tracks, offering a challenge for the expert and fun for the beginner, are about 30 minutes away by car.
  • Local golf courses welcome visitors.
  • Sea and freshwater fishing are available locally.
  • The bay is ideal for sailing or just messing about in boats.
  • Pub/restaurant with real ales, good food and wine within a few minutes walk of the house.
