The Jurassic coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site Status - and is well worth a visit. Studland, Lulworth Cove amongst others not to be missed. National Trust houses within easy reach. Athelhampton, Stourhead, Lytes Cary. Dorchester 10 miles, Weymouth 15 miles,Sherborne 9 miles to the north of Buckland Newton.
Cerne Abbas has a most welcoming Giant! with numerous pubs, good walks and tea rooms. The Piddle Valley also has many pubs, Poachers, Piddle Inn, The Brace of Pheasants.
Church Farm Stables is wonderful place for children to enjoy the countryside, with freedom & space to run around, sunken trampoline in garden, 20 acres of fields surrounding the house - adults can just relax and discover the peace and quiet and beauty of unspoilt west Dorset in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Gaggle of Geese Pub within walking distance from the Stables, well worth a visit, serving delicious local produce for lunch & dinner, why not try skittles?
