Much to see and do from beautiful gardens, glorious coastline and locating fossils, discovering unspoilt countryside. Lunch by the sea at The Hive Cafe in Burton Bradstock is recommended. The Jurassic South Coast has been awarded World Heritage Site Status - and is well worth a visit. Studland, Lulworth Cove amongst others not to be missed. National Trust & private houses within easy reach at Athelhampton, Stourhead, Lytes Cary. Sherborne 9 miles to the north of Buckland Newton, Dorchester 10 miles & Weymouth 20 miles to the south.
Cerne Abbas has a most welcoming Giant and is worth a visit! New Inn Pub in Cerne Abbas is worth a visit, with good walks and tea rooms. The Piddle Valley also has many pubs, Poachers, Thimble, Piddle Inn, The Brace of Pheasants. The Gaggle of Geese Pub is in Buckland Newton. Children's playground within walking distance from house.
Church Farm Stables is wonderful place for children to enjoy the countryside, with freedom & space to run around, sunken trampoline in garden, 20 acres of fields surrounding the house - Adults can just relax and discover the peace and quiet and beauty of unspoilt west Dorset in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
